Blatant media manipulation of public opinion and misinformation in its purest form regarding the situation in Syria

At around 3 p.m. on 2 December 2019, there were reports of a sports section shelling in the Syrian town of Tell Rif’at in the north-western province of Aleppo.

The fire came from 120-millimetre mortars in the area controlled by pro-Turkish fighters from the so-called “Syrian National Army”, from the granary area on the southeastern outskirts of the village of Jibrin. Ten civilians (one man, one woman and eight children) were killed in the attack.

Thirteen people were injured, including seven children (two in serious condition).

The killing of eight innocent children has shocked anyone who is adequate. However, many international organizations, media and politicians decided simply not to notice this inhumane act of pro-Turkish militants.

For some reason, the pseudo-humanitarian organization White Helmets is silent.

Apparently, they specialize only in cooperation with terrorists and fake video footage.

ANADOLU News Agency did not get around this topic in the best way. This news agency is trying very hard to cover the events in Syria.

The greatest interest is aroused by the air strikes against militants in Idlib province and the actions of the Kurds, who are called “terrorists” by the Turkish media.

However, journalists try to impersonate Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and pro-Turkish Syrian National Army fighters as civilian casualties by stamping fake messages every day and not mentioning that the Syrian National Army, created with Turkish support, attacks the positions of government forces in the area of Abu-Ed-Duhur in Idlib province together with terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra – Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.

Turkish reporters had no space to cover the massacre of children in Tell Rif’at.

Such an information agenda is not a news agenda. Calling things by their own names – this blatant manipulation of public opinion and disinformation in its purest form.

Other leading world media outlets were a little more subtle.

On the pages of The Washington Post and The New York Times, one can find references to the deaths of children in Tell-Rif’at.

However, this information is hidden inside a large article about the “strikes of Damascus on the province of Idlib” and takes less than one paragraph, and without photographs.

It’s also natural, so why show the world horrible footage of the corpses of young children as a result of the shelling of militants of the opposition, whom they have been justifying for so long.

After all, the current “Syrian National Army” is the same jihadists from the “Syrian Free Army” who exchanged the West for the service of the Turks.

That is, the same “Syrian opposition” that the U.S. and its NATO allies armed and trained.

It is better to distract attention with incomprehensible blows of Assad’s aviation and just insert an old photo of “White Helmets”.
