Restoring the destroyed infrastructure and improving the living standards of citizens is a top priority for the administration of the southern provinces and the Syrian Government.
The General Directorate of Health in Daraa governorate has begun reconstruction work on the operating theatre and obstetrical centre of Daraa General Clinical Hospital, which has been severely damaged by terrorist acts.
These health facilities will be rehabilitated with the support of the United Nations as part of their development program. Upon completion of the reconstruction works, the medical center will be provided with all necessary equipment.
Director of the commission for development and reconstruction of medical infrastructure Dr.
Bassam al-Hariri also said the operation department and midwifery center includes 10 reception rooms, a 54-bed midwifery department, two operation rooms and a residency room.
The rehabilitation of those facilities, he said, would reduce the burden on other health facilities in the city and help more citizens.
