The Ministry of Health is preparing quarantine centres in a controlled area as part of the Crown virus prevention measures. In the province of Damascus, for example, a quarantine centre has been set up at the Al-Jameel Plaza Hotel in the Al-Sayed Zaynab district of Damascus, where persons suspected of being infected with the virus will be held for 14 days to ensure their safety and preserve the safety of others in order to prevent the virus from spreading.
This centre is one of three quarantine centres in the province of Damascus. It includes several hotel rooms with all equipment and services and provides daily medical services through medical personnel to residents to detect symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath. If any symptoms are detected, the necessary laboratory tests are conducted.
The centre is home to dozens of people who have come from outside Syria to detect the coronovirus. The Damascus Provincial Health Authority provides the residents of the centre and other quarantine centres with comprehensive medical services and personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, etc. A 24-hour health monitoring service is also provided.
